Custom Dashboard Info

This map-based tool uses geospatial data such as, basin topography, burn severity, soil properties and rainfall characteristics to estimate the probability and volume of post-fire debris flows from select wildfires. Zoom in on Utah and click on individual fires to see more detailed information about specific fires. The tool provides information about when the fire started, its size and map the fire extent. Each small watershed within the burn area is assigned a probability of debris flow occurrence in response to a one-inch in 15-minute rainfall event. Data is provided by the U.S. Geological Survey.
