Multiple federal, state, municipal water providers and and research organizations are inolved in Colorado River water management, allocation, assessment, policy, or planning. Federal, State, and Muncipal Water Managment

U.S. Department of the Interior
Interior has authority over all of the Federal water projects, including Glen Canyon and Hoover Dams, as well as adminstration ofthe Colorado River Compact.

U.S.Bureau of Reclamation (part of Dept. of Interior)
U.S.B.R. is the managent agency within the Department of Interior that operates all of the Federal water projects in the West, with duties including water supply and hydropower generation.

USGS Grand Canyon Monitoring and Research Center
With research assistance from WWA team affiliates Pulwarty , Eischeid, and Jain, the USGS Grand Canyon Monitoring and Research Center (GCMRC) is the organization spearheading the Glen Canyon Adaptive Managment Program (AMP), established in 1996.The GMRC is responsible for measuring the effects of Glen Canyon Dam operations on the regional natural processes and species along the Colorado River from Glen Canyon Dam to Lake Mead.

Colorado River Delta Research Coordination Network

This network of natural scientists, social scientists and legal scholars seeks to facilitate interdisciplinary, inter-institutional, and international research on the Colorado River delta of the U.S. and Mexico. WWA team member, Douglas Kenney, NRLC, is affiliated with this organization as well.

An informal organization dedicated to the study of taphonomy. Taphonomy is the study of dead things and how they get incorporated into the fossil record. Delta Project

NOAA's Colorado Basin River Forecast Center
This site has projections about future flows in the Colorado River Basin based on snowpack, soil moisture and weather forecasts.

Natural Resource Conservation Service's Colorado office
The NRCS collects snowpack and soil moisture information and then uses that to predict streamflows.

Californa Applications Program (CAP) and the California Climate Change Center (CCCC)
Climate information for California's decision makers.

Climate Assessment of the Southwest (CLIMAS)
Assesses the impacts of climate variability and longer-term climate change on human and natural systems in the Southwest.

Sustainability of Semi-Arid Hydrology and Riparian Areas (SAHRA)
Identifies critical stakeholder-relevant knowledge gaps and conducts basin-focused multidisciplinary research to fill them and also conveys what is known and what is being learned to improve water management and policy.
