"Dealing with Drought - Adapting to a Changing Climate" are one-day workshops for people working in sectors directly affected by drought and climate, including water resources, public utilities, land management, agriculture, recreation, and tourism.

These workshops build on themes and information from the October 2008 Governor’s Conference on Managing Drought and Climate Risk, though attendance at that conference is not required to participate in the workshops.

In the workshops, participants will:

Engage with Colorado climate scientists in instructional sessions to learn more about Colorado’s climate and climate variability, the history of past drought in Colorado, scenarios for future climate change, and implications of climate change for water resources; and

Participate in discussion sessions to provide input to the State Drought Plan and the Colorado Climate Action Plan on your vulnerabilities to drought and a changing climate, the measures would help you adapt to these challenges, and the barriers to implementing these measures.
