Front Range Water Provider Climate Change Workshop
Friday, November 17, 2006
9:00am to 2:30 pm
Camp George, Golden, CO

Meeting Purpose:  While the Western Water Assessment is hosting this meeting, the idea originated with Denver Water to allow interaction among Front Range water providers on how different entities are planning, or might plan, to deal with climate change related impacts.  It is not designed to be a science meeting, although there are two short presentations on science.  Some sensitive material may be discussed, hence the need for mutually-agreed upon ground rules.

Round-Robin Discussion:  This and the discussion after lunch are designed to be the heart of the meeting.  The round-robin portion is designed to allow providers to discuss their current thoughts, planning efforts, ideas, concerns with the group.  After lunch, the group may wish to promote some joint activities (e.g., shared future hydrology climate scenarios, workshops, etc.)

Location:  Colorado State Patrol Academy, Building 100, Camp George West, 15055 S. Golden Road, Golden, CO.  This is the same location used on occasion for the Water Availability Task Force meetings.  If you haven’t been to it, it can be a little bit tricky to find; consult one of the web-based mapping services.  (I believe that Map Quest may slightly misplace the location by a couple hundred feet.)
